One of the fun activities High Leys Lodge guests can do during their stay is an alpaca farm tour! These fun farm tours provide a chance to get up close with friendly alpacas, giving people an opportunity to feed them, capture beautiful photos with them, whilst learning more about these gorgeous, friendly creatures.

There are number of Alpaca Farm Tours on offer:

• Farm Tour: Guests can meet all the animals during this one-hour tour.
• Meet the Mums and Cria (Babies) Tour: Allows you to spend 30 minutes getting to know alpaca mothers and their crias (babies).
• Meet, Greet & Feed Friendly Alpacas: Enjoy 30 minutes of interaction with friendly alpacas, including the chance to feed them.
• Unique Photo Opportunities: Capture memorable moments with these charming creatures.

Interestingly alpacas are bred for their exquisite fibre, which is harvested annually and transformed into luxurious products. A visit to the Wild Wool Gallery is a must during the farm tour where the owner’s own hand-crafted alpaca fine accessories can be purchased along with a variety of alpaca products, including wool, yarn, blankets, duvets, and even roving for spinners, if that is of interest.

For guest convenience, an onsite restroom is available for handwashing and sanitization during their visit to the farm and shop.
